how Diabolical

The facts: My name is Lisa, I'm 18 and I live in Perth.

The truth: All I want is to be wonderful.

My wonderful wonderful friend Tess agreed to model for me for a uni assignment and I’m so happy with the results (particularly as it was my first time using black and white film). Special guest appearance by her bird Nixon, who was surprisingly cooperative. Aren’t they both gorgeous??

Vampire Weekend // Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa

As a young girl, Louis Vuitton
With your mother, on the sandy lawn
As a sophomore, with reggaeton
And the linens you’re sittin’ on

Is your bed made?
Is your sweater on?
Do you want to fuck?
Like you know I do
Like you know I do

This feels so unnatural, Peter Gabriel too
Feels so unnatural, Peter Gabriel

Can you stay up to see the dawn?
In the colors of Benetton

You give me a gift? Bam! Thank-you note. You invite me somewhere? Pow! RSVP. You do me a favor? Wham! Favor returned. Do not test my politeness.

Oh, Andy.

It’s almost adventure time!!
Here is my flight schedule for the next 3.5 weeks:

Los Angeles - Hartford (friend getting married in CT tomorrow)
New York - Quito, Ecuador (meet up with the tour group)
Quito - Galapagos Islands (Darwin, snorkling, turtles, yachting, etc.)
Galapagos Islands - Quito (four more nights to explore around Quito)
Quito - Denver (Thanksgiving with my Uncle)
Denver - Los Angeles (back home!)

I AM SO EXCITED.
On another note, unless you want to be freaked out by foreign travel, don’t go to the US State Department website. It will scare the shit out of you by quoting every crime statistic in each country over the past ten years. Yikes. I’m going to do my best to travel safely and avoid becoming one of their statistics!
Bon voyage, Tumblr!

As always, so jealous of you and your travelling! Have an AMAZING time!

I write fiction for the same reasons I read it: to amplify my own experience, to live vicariously through characters who get to do things I’ll never do and visit places I’ll never see. It’s become cliche, but I do think that the best fiction deepens our understanding of what it means to be human.
